This is the Golden Age of Land Rovers.  This 1967 Land Rover Series 2A - 109 Pickup is a rare one.  It is one of a small batch of pickups made for U.S. delivery.  This one went to the Rover Motor Company of North America dealership in Manhattan, New York City.  

We're told that the owner of the dealership was so in love with this Poppy Red pickup that he pulled it from inventory and sent it to his stables on his farm in upstate New York.  There it resided as a "Sunday Driver" for nearly 50 years.  

This truck was acquired from the owner's estate in 2017 and a complete restoration was undertaken.  All bolts off.  Frame off.  It was rebuilt with care.  Parts were replaced as required and refreshed to create a very reliable pickup for another generation.

The body panels are mostly aluminum, making it rust-free!  This vehicle has a completely new galvanized frame (over $18k installation), making it unaffected by salt air / water -- perfect for seaside living on 30A!

New interior components by Exmoor trim.  3 seats across, or 2 seats with a custom center console.  

A complete canopy frame and canvas cover system by Exmoor is included with the vehicle, allowing a completely enclosed bed with roll-up side panels. 

Custom boat cushions have been installed in the bed to create side facing seating to load up multiple people and gear for a trip to/from the beach. What a great beach wagon!
